Sorry, but not much updating here from Wednesday. And don't worry, but we plan on having pictures up on other updates. But with the way today went down here, there wasn't any real opportunity for us to do any pictures.
Jennell and I drove down to Pensacola today. Its a nine-hour drive, but that was added to because we had to drop Brutus off with my brother, so it took us 10 hours. We got into Pensacola at 5pm Pensacola time (Central time).
When we got to the track and got signed in, we found Zach on the infield (Jennell spotted them right away) and they were loading the car up. Today was nothing but parking the trailers and getting the cars through tech. When we got there, they were just finished loading the trailer up for the day. They said they went through tech twice and was able to get the car pretty much up to par.
Zach said they left Wisconsin on Tuesday at 9am and got to Pensacola on Wednesday morning at 5am. They drove straight from Wisconsin (the car he is driving is housed in Milwaukee) and had to stop to get the trailer fixed in Indiana, then headed the rest of the way from there to Pensacola.
So we loaded up the crew and took them all to their hotel, then we checked in to ours. We are really close to where they are staying. We then checked in, unpacked and went back, got them and went out to eat for dinner. Was good to hang out with the guys (there are four of them down here helping, including Deon) before the weekend starts.
Tomorrow, practice starts. We'll take some pictures and have them up as well. As of now, it is supposed to rain, so we'll see how that goes.
It will be a good night of sleeping and we'll be back tomorrow.
